There is no age limit to having fun
Ensuring Independent, Involved and Informed local seniors is the aim of YMCA’s 60 & Better Program.
60 and Better provides around 70 opportunities every month for senior to stay active and connected in their community.
It offers a broad choice of physical, social and recreational activities aimed at multiple tastes and interest to keep members healthy in body, mind and spirit.
Apart from several classes in the Fitness Centres each week designed for senior participants, other regular activities include Computer Classes, Ten Pin Bowling, Cards (500), Lunch Club, Line Dancing, Walk In Water exercise class and free Information Sessions with morning tea. There are also other social activities organised such as bus trips, theatre visits, morning teas and barbeques.
All member activities are either conducted at a reduced rate, no cost, or may require a gold coin donation.
Eligibility to 60 and Better can vary, however it is generally open to anyone over 60 years of age.
